Artist Helga Steppan colour-coded all her possessions then photographed them

Helga Steppan is a Swedish artist who has developed this body of work that she calls See Through for which she audited all of her belongings and divided them into a full spectrum of different colour groupings to photograph: white, black, yellow, red, miscellaneous, blue, orange, green, pink, grey, purple, and brown.

The final images are these brilliant visually seductive photographs that ‘ask the viewer to consider whether they can discover the artist’s persona reflected in the meticulously constructed installations of her material possessions.’

About the author

A love of traveling, art, and denim saw this Brit native mix them all up. The result was art crafted from denim and a new home in Sweden. Even though he once lived in Australia and never rode a wave, Denimu is only slightly better with a keyboard and likes to write about the things he has seen on his travels and the people he meets along the way.
