The humble pizza box has come a long way, a looong way. And author Scott Wiener decided to document the evolution of the pizza box in his book Viva la Pizza!: The Art of the Pizza Box. Here are just a few innovative pizza boxes he found along his way: the Table Box (pretty much does as it says – it transforms into a mini table by simple folds), the Green Box (it breaks down into individual slice holders and is easier to dispose), Hell’s Pizza Coffin Box (truly one you have to see to believe – it folds into a coffin-shaped box for your ‘remains’), and the Euro Lock Box (it uses 17 vents for steam release, ‘four of which double as structural stabilizers).
