Make your very own instant ice sculptures

Those little hand warmers you use during the winter might be more handy than first thought. Thanks to Hard Science, you can make your very own instant ice sculpture by cutting open those chemical hand warmers, boiling the contents and then dripping over some of the leftovers. The results? A winter wonderland. A very miniature winter wonderland, but a winter wonderland. Drip the goopy water and sodium acetate mixture into a tree shape (if you can), drip some food coloring over the trees and you’re done! And even if it doesn’t turn out like you expected, at least you’ve impressed your friends with science!
