Everyday issues turned into surreal cartoons by Angel Boligan

Cuban artist Angel Boligan is the winner of many prestigious art awards, participated in major international exhibitions, and has just recently ‘started using the internet in order to disseminate his work.’ In this series of illustrations, Boligan gives his characters and each scene a sense of sadness in their realism, depicting lonely children, weight-conscious middle-aged women, eco-conscious Christmas tree buyers, and tech-obsessed families in incredible detail, with just enough color to brighten each scene.

Boligan now lives and works in Mexico and has a book published of his work titled World Evidences.
