Extraordinarily beautiful shots of Scotch glass bottoms

Some things have to be seen to be believed. In his Vanished Spirits series, photographer Ernie Button somehow found a way to appreciate the extraordinarily beautiful sight of the residue left at the bottom of scotch glasses by taking macrophotographs of the aftermath with the help of his 55mm lens. Who would have thought that these shots would look more like undiscovered planets than whiskey to us?
