How New York-based artist Kumi Yamashita, well, wound up getting the idea to wind a single and unbroken sewing thread around thousands of galvanized nails to make these astounding portraits of people in her Constellation series, you’ve really got to wonder. These are so detailed, they’re not even interpretative, but lifelike. Bravo.
