Remarkable video shows black swans surfing a few waves on Australia’s Gold Coast

Do you guys know who else enjoys surfing on the Gold Coast waves? Black swans! No, not Natalie Portman Black Swan, I mean real swans. A flock of Black Swans were seen swimming along the shore at Kirra, when one of them caught a wave. It then realized for the first time in its life the feeling of getting stoked. So it paddled, or rather flew, back a bit and caught another wave.

Not to be outdone, the rest of its posse soon surfed together in impressive beginner’s fashion. After which, they all flew away together, presumably to look for a more challenging set of waves. It’s a simple but amusing video, showing us that other species too can enjoy the addicting rush of surfing.
