Lionel Richie’s lyrics find home in abandoned furniture across Milwaukee

Molly Evans specializes in modern quilting, costume design, installation art, and ‘unusual, temporary public art designed to make folks stop and appreciate the good things they have going.’ Like the Lionel Richie (#LionelStitchie) project. This past summer in Milwaukee, Evans set out to ‘entertain’ her grumpy neighbor with an outdoor embroidery project. And that project took off. Big time.

From discarded mattresses left on the side of the road to abandoned sofas, Molly has embroidered these forgotten furniture pieces with, what else, Lionel Richie lyrics. Oh, what a feeling!
