Pick your own apples at home with this apple holder

If you’re not lucky enough to live in an apple orchard, maybe you should try the next best thing. ‘Newton’ is an apple holder that ‘recreates the apple-picking experience’ for the urban environment. It was designed by industrial designer David Saldoff and was inspired by his childhood, where there was an apple tree, apparently.

Now, wanting to share his childhood apple-picking experiences with everyone else, he’s developed the Newton for high-rise, urban dwellers of today. No word when this will actually be on the market – the Newton is still seeking production partners to make this a worldwide reality.
