Tippi Degré had quite the amazing childhood. Imagine growing up with wildlife photographers as parents, roaming the African landscape, and making friends with wild animals wherever you go.

This was Tippi’s childhood. Since there were no children around, Tippi became friends with many of the incredible African animals, such as elephants, ostriches, crocodiles, a baby zebra, a cheetah, snakes, and even lion cubs. When she wasn’t playing with animals, Tippi was spending time with the Namibian tribespeople. Tippi’s photographer parents compiled images of her life in Africa into a 1998 book entitled Tippi of Africa.
