Bonobo to play the Sydney Opera House in early January

We love the lush, sample heavy sound of Bonobo, aka Simon Green (yes, we prefer Bonobo too), a pioneering UK producer renowned for his downbeat electronica. From his debut release, Terrapin, on the Tru Thoughts compilation When Shapes Join Together, right through to his most recent Ninja Tunes album, The North Borders, Bonobo’s lushly orchestrated productions are invariably complex and deeply melodic.

So it’s only fitting that he should play the beautiful, awe-inspiring surrounds of the Sydney Opera House on January 6th (the January 4th show is already sold out!), rocking his live-band electronica and ‘big band jams’. We can’t wait to see him action, if this live video below is any indication of what we can expect.
