Denver based artist Ravi Zupa’s work blends icons from a huge variety of cultures. Everything from renaissance painting, Japanese wood block prints, North American sign painting, tyrannical propaganda, and religious iconography all seem to find their way into his work. And not only is his art a mix of cultures, but it also incorporates a wide mix of media including collages canvas, paint, ink, pencil and printing techniques.

Zupa describes the themes found in his emotionally charged images by explaining: ‘We’re certainly in a hard place and the realities that we find ourselves in force us to dream hard dreams. But with hard dreams comes deep freedom’.
