Harm Less: a project by Melbourne-based still life artist Sonia Rentsch

These are definitely not the weapons you want to be wielding in a zombie apocalypse. Harm Less is a project by Melbourne-based still life artist Sonia Rentsch for January Biannual 03. It depicts deadly weapons like guns, bullets, and grenades fashioned out of harmless flowers, twigs, bark, leaves, and bamboo. It’s a simple and witty concept with a hard-to-miss message. Sonia’s still life creations may remind you of Sarah Illenberger’s work. Well that’s because they’ve both worked together in Berlin before.
