Laura Wood was born and raised in Italy, but decided to move to Melbourne, Australia at the age of 24 and pursue her passion of illustration. She’s been working as a freelance illustrator since 2010 and has recently completed a Diploma of Illustration. She is represented by Good Illustration Agency.

Her illustrations are reminiscent of the time I was curled up in bed with mommy reading me bedtime stories of colourful and imaginative characters and worlds. Her favourite medium is graphite combined with a Wacom tablet, but she also says dry media such as soft pastels and charcoal are ok.

Her website further describes, ‘Laura’s illustrations give life to a fantasy world that is both welcoming and mysterious. She is fascinated by illustrations able to tell a story; an element which she uses within her own work/.

Now after looking at all these cute and sunny illustrations, who can read me a good bedtime story? Goodnight kisses are mandatory.
