Vintage ads of famous writers endorsing products

We have to confess we were quite skeptical when we saw the Ernest Hemingway ad for Ballantine Ale. Ah well, blame it on Photoshop. We were wrong, and the ad is for real. Hell, even Mark Twain got into the act of product endorsement, though he was quite an anomaly with his ad for the Paul E. Writ fountain pen. Miller Lite, Guinness, Lord Calvery Whiskey… alcohol was quite a popular choice of products for writers to endorse, apparently.
