Doggelganger: Where humans meet their doggie doubles

What an idea. A couple of years ago, New Zealand’s Pedigree Adoption Drive, aided by Colenso BBDO Auckland, decided to use facial mapping software to match canines looking for adoption to the humans they resemble. It works like this: interested human uploads a photo, software scans a database of thousands of adoptable dogs for a match. The whole idea, apparently, is to get people thinking about adopting a dog at all. Unfortunately the Doggelganger website no longer works, but it’s still a pretty nifty idea.
