We all made fashion mistakes, and we can forgive ourselves for having done so. Just make sure to burn all evidence that it ever happened. But it’s a different story if you’re a popular band from the 80s. The images of mullets, crazy overblown hair, and loud out-of-proportion clothes, will haunt band members forever. Remember guys, never forget.

Aerosmith
Aerosmith is one of the greatest bands ever, but that doesn’t exempt them from making awful fashion decisions. Take for example Steve Tyler with his, uhhmm, is that a shirt fashioned out of a fish net or a fish net that grew into a shirt?

Bon Jovi
Bon Jovi certainly wasn’t “living on a prayer” with their successful career. They sold more than 130 million records worldwide and performed more than 2,700 concerts in over 50 countries. Here we see the members of Bon Jovi… Hey, where’s Jon? Oh he’s that woman in the middle?

Depeche Mode
Depeche Mode is considered to be one of the most popular techno-pop bands the world has ever known. They’ve sold well over 100 million records and played to fans that number more than 30 million. With that kind of fame, let’s hope everyone forgets their hairstyles. Especially Dave’s mullet.

Hall and Oates
Daryl Hall and John Oates, better known as Hall and Oates, are best known for songs like Rich Girl, Kiss on My List, Private Eyes, Maneater, Out of Touch, I Can’t Go For That, and You Make My Dreams Come True. Here we see them immortalized in stylish Leopard and leather jackets.

Hanoi Rocks
Hanoi Rocks was the most successful Finnish band in the 1980s and are still have loyal fan bases in the US, UK, and Japan. They were mostly known for their energetic live performances. We’re assuming part of “energetic” includes these snazzy bold costumes.

Heart
Heart was more popular in the 70s than the 80s, but that didn’t stop them from donning the most fashionable 80s attires. Is that pink dress made of plastic? Work it, Nancy, work it!

Motley Crue
One of the world’s best-selling groups of all time, Motley Crue have sold 80 million albums with 25 million coming from the US. MTV considers them as part of the “top 10 heavy metal bands of all time.” They were equally famous for their persona and notorious ways. Note the leather pants with the butt cheeks peeking out. Rebels, I tell ya.

Poison
Poison is an American glam metal band that was lead by Bret Michaels. Even today, 25 years later after they debuted, the band still records music and performs. Let’s just hope their 80s hair and fashion phases were left in the 80s.
