The smallest Armadillo species in the world: the Pink Fairy Armadillo

It looks more like a mythical creature but this is in fact the smallest armadillo in the world. It weighs in around 100 grams (3.5 oz) and fits into your hand (if you’d want to touch it, that is). It’s covered in silky, white hair and its hard outer covering is rich in blood vessels and can blush pink.
