A book of maps you actually want to own

Let’s face it, paper maps aren’t as interesting now that we’re spoiled with the online maps on Google, Yahoo and Bing. But Maps is a new book written and illustrated by Aleksandra Mizielinska and Daniel Mizielinksi you’ve gotta see. This quirky edition of maps (from every region on earth) details the history and culture of each place, with native personalities, animals and plants added in for full effect.

This is definitely a great way to learn your geography—you’ll never forget where the brothers Grimm are from or what favorite foods come from the British Isles thanks to the quirky illustrations that accompany the facts and figures of each region. What a nifty way to learn more about the globe!
