Britney Spears songs keeps the Somali pirates away

This sounds like a joke, but it really isn’t: ships are blasting Britney Spears hits such as ‘Oops I Did It Again’ to scare off Somali pirates from kidnapping crew onboard supertankers in the waters off the east coast of Africa. Said one merchant navy officer: ‘Her songs were chosen by the security team because they thought the pirates would hate them most… These guys can’t stand Western culture or music, making Britney’s hits perfect’. Let’s hope these pirates don’t decide to attack just to turn that ruckus off.
