Heat or cool your body with a bracelet (and save on electricity bills)

Instead of shelling out hundreds of dollars to stay warm or cool during the year, MIT students have come up with the next best thing: Wristify. This bracelet increases whole-body thermal comfort ‘by providing tailored stimuli to the wrist’.

The Wristify team found that applying the smallest change in temperature to the skin can change what your body feels by a few degrees and using this info, they’ve come up with a bracelet that runs up to 8 hours on a lithium polymer battery. Oh, what we’d give to wander the streets in the dead of winter wearing only our swimsuits!
