Life-size inflatable castle bounces into Sydney’s Hyde Park

Ever dream about doing something absolutely ridiculous at a sacred ancient monument? No? Me neither. But my spidey senses tell me that January 2014 holds this possibility in the future of Sydney-siders both young and young at heart. Sacrilege is Stonehenge re-imagined as a life-size inflatable castle.

Gone are the days of clutching at your beer bottle while enviously watching the five year-olds have the time of their lives in a castle you’d been banished from based solely on an expected/enforced/unfounded maturity level.

The new work by Turner Prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller will brighten the day of all who visit Hyde Park this January as they bounce their way through a landscape that has baffled historians for centuries.
