Photographer documents his late wife’s brave fight against breast cancer

This photo series tells the bitter-sweet story of one couple’s daily battle against breast cancer and the love that held them together. After the passing of his brave wife Jen, photographer Angelo Merendino could think of no other way to honour her memory then to tell others her story through his photos.

The black and white images are charged with emotion and raw humanity, truly a beautiful picture of the strength found in tragedy. Meredino tells of the happiness found in even the darkest moments. ‘We loved each other with every bit of our souls’, he concludes in the written summary of his series.
