The horror! According to Spirit Halloween, the largest seasonal Halloween retailer in North America, popular figures in pop culture are often the most imitated when November comes around.

For instance, The Avengers were the crowd favourite in 2012 when their movie came out. This too goes for The Joker in 2008, when The Dark Knight thrilled everyone.

Worry not. Spirit Halloween, in celebration of their 30th Anniversary, has come out with a handy infographic showing us the popular costumes of the past 30 years. Some of these include: President Obama (2006), Scream (1996), The Terminator (1991), and Princess Leia (1983).
