Documentary looks at Puerto Rico’s growing drug problem

Earlier this summer Kris Rios and I published a documentary on the websites of the Guardian and Univision about the public health crisis gripping Puerto Rico. The converging issues of heroin addiction and HIV have overwhelmed the local government’s resources Non-profits groups try to fill the void, but the problem persists. In our film, we followed the day to day operation of one organization as it tried to make a difference.
