Beautiful time-lapse video of the Milky Way

Star gazing in the city can be a pretty unrewarding thing to do. With all the light pollution, you’ll only be able to spot a few stars on a clear night. So from here you have two options: 1. Sean Goebel has produced this eye-catching time-lapse video of the night sky over the Mauna Kea Observatories in Hawaii. An astronomy graduate student at the University of Hawaii and a photographer, Goebel showcases a sequence of seven nights of the beautiful constellations and the powerful telescopes and laser we use for research.
