Gerhard Human has got to be one of my favorite illustrators ever. Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, his very unique and detailed linework takes on an effortless, rounded, highly-stylized life of it’s own. Beautiful angles and unusual points of view, minimal color usage, and edgy subject-matter all add to the intrigue.

He includes a lot of old-school punk aesthetic, mixed with a bit of grimy hipster and melancholy. In a way, it’s very 1940s newspaper cartoon. Man, I wish I was this good.
