Crying Sumo ceremonies are a hit in Japan

Sumo wrestlers are making babies cry all over Japan! Why? Because some believe a baby’s cry is “innocent and purifying” and that their cries will help the little babes grow up strong and healthy. Watch the video and judge for yourself—some of the babies you see look terrified and only time will tell if the tears shed at this crying ceremony had any (positive) effect. But whether or not they do, it’s one entertaining video to watch (if you don’t mind screaming babies) or scary-looking sumos.
