Barilla has caused quite a stir lately with the chairman Guido Barilla stating that he wouldn’t show a gay family in Barilla’s advertising: ‘I would never do a commercial with a homosexual family,’ he said, ‘We will not be advertising with homosexuals, because we like the traditional family’.

Well, Mr. Barilla, may we present the twelve best responses to your words, via The New Civil Rights Movement. From George Takei’s tongue-in-cheek stab at the company to well-made Twitter posts and even Italian pasta company Althea advertising the love of pasta between a diverse group of people in love (that includes the gay community!), this is a pretty great way to show not only Guido Barilla, but the world, the importance of acceptance.
