Matt Weber’s 30-year photo project of NYC in love

New York City really knows how to make people fall in love. Maybe it’s the romantic Fall evenings or the sweet strolls through Central Park—who knows, but one thing’s for sure, it’s damn easy to fall in love while living in this city. And photographer Matt Weber has documented couples in love for more than three decades.

Weber started photography while he was working as a taxi driver in 1978 when he ‘could no longer resist the urge to capture the incredible moments he saw from his window’. He never asks people for permission to snap their picture and his photos are never staged, either. ‘The thing with street photography’, he says, ‘is you often get something better than you imagined’.
