Haha, how cool is this? With the US government shutdown in place, the White House’s deputy chief technology officer for telecommunications, Tom Power, has now taken to bartending at Gypsy Sally’s, a music venue in Georgetown. He wrote in an email invitation to friends that his bartending gig was given the go-ahead by the officials, with just one condition: “The only restriction is that if you do telecom work in the private sector, you can’t tip me when I pour you a beer.”
