Coins with pop culture alter egos

Here’s a secret: The guy engraved on the dime, Franklin D. Roosevelt, is actually Merman from Spongebob Squarepants. Actually, many of the people you see in coins are superheroes and pop culture characters. What we once thought of as political and historical figures are actually the heroes and villains that we see in comics and movies. Don’t believe me? Just ask Andre Levy of Tales You Lose. He paints these famous characters onto the coins themselves, revealing to us the true nature of the faces in our loose change.
