There’s nothing quite like a meal made by Grandma, and in Gabriele Galimberti’s photographic collection Delicatessen with Love, it’s easy to see why. This particular project took the Italian photographer across 58 different countries – from Egypt to Norway – to capture what grandmothers all over the globe feed their families.

Caterpillars in tomato sauce in Malawi and shark in coconut soup in the Philippines, Gabriele tried it all and photographed it all. And he says the idea for this project came from his own grandmother who was concerned about his eating habits while on his global travels: ‘You know, Grandma, there are many other grandmas around the world and most of them are really good cooks. I’m going to meet them and ask them to cook for me so I can show you that you don’t have to be worried for me and the food that I will eat!’
