Yes, now you really can make your own placenta art print

Artists have forever experimented with new mediums when creating art, but I think this one takes the cake. Placenta art prints are a thing, people. As reported by TIME, parents can now own a memento from their child’s birth and get that good-looking placenta down to work. And there’s a service that guides you through every step – Portland Placenta Services.

‘A lot of people are hesitant at first,’ Raeban Nolan (owner of PPS) says. ‘Then they see it and they’re like, “Wow – that’s great! We’re going to frame it.” They’re just really proud of themselves for making a cool placenta tree”.

Check out some of the prints new parents have had framed. It’s not quite a Picasso or Dali original but it’s definitely as quirky. And if you’re a tad hungry, Portland Placenta Services can even prepare your very own placenta into a healthy meal, with tortilla soup and lasagna on the menu.
