50 years of guitar solos in a single video

Before the guitar solo there was … tambourine solos? Who knows how a song ever made it without a decent guitar solo. Imagine November Rain or even Free Bird or Stairway to Heaven without that blessed guitar solo. It just wouldn’t work.

So in order to celebrate the greatness of the guitar solos, cdza brings you Mark Sidney Johnson playing snippets of 28 songs with kickass guitar solos over the past 50 years. We’re talking all the greats in this video, including Chuck Berry, Keith Richards, John Lennon, Hank Marvin, Jim Fuller, Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, Slash, Kurt Cobain, and Jack White.
