Norwegian company launches pink eggs for girls and blue eggs for boys

Marketing stunt gone wrong or … totally right? Norway’s leading brand of chicken and eggs, Prior, has just launched Princess Eggs and Pirate Eggs for hungry little girls and boys who refuse to eat eggs out of regular containers (because who does that nowadays?)

It’s only the containers that are getting a kiddy makeover, not the colour of the egg shells. So we can breathe a sigh of relief for now. But the company is also planning to launch a line of eggs that appeals to school-aged children, naming them ‘skole egg’ or, in English, ‘school eggs.’ Both products are designed to ‘make it attractive for children to eat healthy,’ said a spokesperson from Nortura, the company Prior is owned by.
