Watch out! Brain-eating amoeba is taking over New Orleans

Between Hurricane Katrina and this new water supply scare, it seems poor New Orleans has all the bad luck. Apparently a deadly, brain-eating micro-organism has begun to take over the water supply.

First discovered after killing a 4-year-old Mississippi boy last August, the amoeba can only enter the brain through the nasal passages. Health officials have tried calming the public by explaining that the water is still safe just as long as it stays out of the nasal passages. But needless to say, bottled water sales have gone through the roof. Honestly, who wants to take a chance when it comes to deadly, brain-eating amoebas?
