Le Nid Bar designed by Jean Jullien

You’ll probably never know what it’s like to live as free as a bird, gliding across the sky and looking down on the world. But the next best thing is grabbing a drink at Le Nid. This little nest perches high above the French city of Nantes and has one of the most unique designs of a bar to date—with its egg-shaped tables and chairs, plus a giant bird that wraps around the bar and opens and closes its eyes as it falls asleep and wakes.

The concept comes from designer Jean Jullien who originates from Nantes but calls London home. You might recognize his other work from The New Yorker and New York Magazine. His work is currently being shown at the Kemistry Gallery in London.
