Finally the movement of Armando Alanis’ Acción Poetica (Poetry Action) has hit Guadalajara. Hundreds of young people have adopted and replicated his proposal, creating a movement. They take a bucket of paint, a brush and swipe the streets to paint verses on the harsh brick walls. All of this is following in the ideal of Alanis: ‘The fact that people doesn’t read poetry, does not mean they don’t need it’.
