Kinograph: saving cultural memory with a DIY camera

Kinograph is an open source project that makes film digitization affordable and scaleable. Using components available on the internet, a few 3D printed parts, and a consumer level camera, the machine digitizes 35mm, 16mm or 8mm film at high definition resolutions with sound. The project is based on the philosophy that cultural memory should not be dependent on money or technology.
