New music by Melbourne-based Kirkis

I met Kirkis about a year ago through mutual friends, and we got talking a bit at the café he was working at. At some point he casually mentioned that I should come along to one of his gigs. I didn’t realize he made music, and as every other kid in Melbourne seems to be an artist of some sort, I agreed to check it out without any serious expectations.

To cut it short, the gig blew me away. Up on stage I saw the same dude who’d bring me my tea, jamming hard on the bass, creating noises that sounded like Weather Report on acid. Again, me no music write good, so put aside your fears of jazz and have a listen for yourself.
