Just a short walk from our Sydney Surry Hills office is Small House, a four story wonderland, comprised of 28 precast concrete wall panels which stand on a block of just 7m x 6m. Designed by Domenic Alvaro for himself and his wife, Small House took the approach of building upwards and made it work in the tiniest of spaces. With one room per story, storage areas are hidden within walls so that the minimalistic feel of space can truly be felt, characterised by the oversized windows which make use of natural light and ventilation.
