In Philippines, these steampunk rides are really popular for public transport

This is it. I have seen the world’s coolest public transport on the streets of Manila and now believe the ‘It’s More Fun in the Philippines‘ tourism tagline wasn’t just some campaign spew. Seriously, these Jeepneys, which have their roots as metal rides left behind by the U.S. Army after World War II, and are now refurbished and pimped up with a paint makeover by artists, are loud, brash and wonderful — thanks to the customized art on them that give them a whole lot of character.
