Eerie lifelike wax models of the human anatomy

The Josephinum wax museum has quite an impressive collection of eerily realistic wax anatomical models. Apparently the collection dates back to 1785, when Emperor Josef II ordered the models to be made for his army surgeons to get their medical knowledge together. The museum is part of the Medical University of Vienna. It looks spooky.
