The northern lights, as seen from space

Astronauts just get the best views. Mike Massimino and Don Pettit captured some breathtaking video footage of the aurora enveloping Earth in space from the International Space Station — and it’s splendid. Tip: the two deliver a droll, run-on commentary with so little wonder in their voices, you’d be better off turning off the sound and play some Sigur Ros instead.
