In Spanish town, offending dog owners get their dog’s poop delivered to doorstep

To get dog owners to clean their dog’s act up, Brunete, a small town 20 miles of Madrid, recruited a patrol team of 20 to pick up dog poop when their owners didn’t. They then went on to label the poop ‘Lost Property’ and coolly couriered the stinky substance back to the owner’s home.

In the week-long campaign — devised by ad agency McCann— that took place in February, 147 such deliveries were made, resulting in a 70% drop in dog poop found on the streets. Marvelous.
