Is this a joke? Jonsi, Kjartan Holm, and Sigrun Jonsdottir, the trip behind Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Ros, have taken up DJing under the name Triple Nipple. They’ve played a set for Boiler Room and you can now hear how well they fare in the streaming DJ mix of Baltimore club and big-room electro house they did for UK online music mag FACT.

The idea of Sigur Ros as DJs seems outrageous, but we’ve got to admit they’re pretty good. The band said it as much in a statement: ‘This is how Sigur Ros get down and unwind in the dressing room and on the tour bus after a show. If you’d like a window on their world, come on in. If you are expecting a mystique enhancing exercise of deep solipsism, look away now.’ We have nothing but respect for these guys, though we think the next best thing they can do now is DJ with that other sometime DJ Thom Yorke.
