Nothing Here But Love: the new single and video from Lenka Kripac

This video, directed and shot by my husband, James Gulliver Hancock, was a concept based around ‘the body as landscape’. I become like a mother-nature figure; resembling a train-set model, covered by forest, farmland, town, a road, a pond etc. I eventually start to connect all the little creatures that reside on me with their significant other. It’s a true romance!

The song describes a utopian fantasy world of pure love and sweetness. It’s probably the most challenging video i’ve undertaken and i absolutely love the way it turned out. We worked with an Australian film prosthetics prop-maker, Hayley Egan, who made the pieces of land that fit onto my body. I had to lie in position for five hours, which was rather unpleasant but totally worth it!
