New York-based artist Mark Reigelman recently constructed a temporary roost, The Reading Nest, out of 10,000 reclaimed palette boards and staged it as a site-specific installation on the streets of Cleveland, Ohio. The open-top structure is built for humans, so it comes with an open door as well. You can even climb along the stacked sides to perch yourself anywhere you like.
