Blazing hot temperatures outside are rising, proof that, where I am, summer’s in full swing, and these never-before-seen photos of the world’s clearest lake taken by Klaus Thymann are killing me. I just want to go swimming in it. Found in New Zealand’s South Island, Blue Lake has the incredible visibility of about 80 metres.

Unfortunately, swimming and diving is completely out of the question. And as a result, these are the only photos ever taken under the water of this crystal clear lake.
